It’s hard to know just what CBD oil dosage or edible dosage you should use though. If you’ve been wondering how much CBD to take, this guide is for you.
The CBD Dosing Curve
The first thing to understand is that CBD has a different dose curve than most medications. Up to a certain point, CBD will create certain effects. After that optimal point, though, it can create inverse effects.
That means CBD can help people feel more energized at lower doses, but it makes them sleepy at higher doses. Other cannabinoids, like THC, also show this pattern.

It’s not as simple as taking 1 milligram of CBD and calling it a day though.

In this case, you can use a dropper with measurements to determine your CBD oil dose. If you want to take 25mg of CBD, you’d need to take half a milliliter. From this starting point, you could decide to take more or less.
Is it working?
A common question is whether CBD is actually working. It can be tough to tell if it’s time to increase or decrease your dose for that reason.
Some people recommend microdosing. A microdose is a smaller dose of CBD taken at regular intervals. This is thought to keep the body’s level of cannabinoids more stable.
