Top Tips To Make Your RV Just As Cozy As Your Home

While living in an RV will be quite different from living in your house, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make living in your RV as close as living to your house as possible.

New recreational vehicles made these days are actually quite cozy. As Outdoorsy points out, the interiors on newer RV’s are quite luxurious and comfortable, with the same kind of cabinets, furniture, lighting, and appliances that you would expect from a new house.

But there are still additional steps that you can take to make your RV even cozier and homelike to you. The result of this is that you’ll actually enjoy using your RV more, but you don’t have to make any dramatic remodeling changes either.

Here are the top tips you can follow to make your RV just as cozy as your home:

Select A Theme For Your RV

First and foremost, you need to choose a theme for the interior of your RV or camper that you like. You don’t need to go overboard with a complete remodeling job, and just a few changes here and there (such as the colors of your furniture or curtains for example) can have a huge impact on whether you like the interior.

Choose Colors That Complement One Another

Specifically, you want the colors of your curtains to match or contrast the colors of your furniture (such as your couch and chairs). In all honesty, the curtains that come installed with most RV’s are rather drab and boring, so don’t hesitate to swap them out with ones that are more visually appealing.

Replace Your Furniture

This is a project that will cost you a little more money, but it may also be well worth it to you. The couches, beds, and chairs that come installed in RV’s are often not the coziest or visually appealing ones available, but they are also something that you can easily swap out of your own.

If you don’t want to actually replace the chairs, tables, couches, or beds in your RV, then you can still improve them with colorful quilts, blankets, and/or pillows.

Add An Awning To The Outside

Adding an awning to the outside of your RV doesn’t just give you badly needed shade from the sunshine, it also essentially gives you an entirely new room. Add comfortable camping chairs and an outdoor rug or carpet to further enhance things.

Add Photos and Mementos To The Interior

Just as you have family photos and mementos hanging in the walls of your house, so you can do in your RV as well. This action alone will make your RV feel more like home.

Making Your RV Just Like Home

Only you can decide how you want the interior of your RV to look and feel like. If there are other ways you can think of that will make your RV cozier or more comfortable to you, then by all means do them.
