Struggling To Feel That Confidence You Once Had? We’ve Got Some Ideas

Posted on October 18, 2024May 21, 2025 by Terri's Little Haven

Are you struggling to find the confidence that you once had? Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone. There are a lot of people at any given time struggling with this, and it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what would help you to feel better about yourself. The reason that it’s so tough is because the solution is going to be different for everyone, and sometimes you have to try a few things before you land on the one that will really help you. In this article, we’re going to be giving you some suggestions that you can consider though, so if you’re interested in getting some ideas, read on.

Get Some New Friends

The first thing that we’re going to suggest is that you get some new friends to make up your support system. If you are struggling with your confidence then it’s likely that the people you have chosen to surround yourself with are not the best. Of course, sometimes confidence is such an internal struggle and has absolutely nothing to do with the others in your life, but it’s rare. When you’re surrounded by the right people you usually have at least some level of confidence as they are there to hype you up.

So, think about the people that you have in your life right now and think about if they are supportive of you. If they are not, and if they work against you rather than with you, you really need to reevaluate.

Body Modifications

You can also consider looking into body modifications if this is something that catches your interest. The one thing we will say about any modifications is that if you are not 100% sure, do not do it. There are some exceptions to this, but it’s best not to do it anyway if you’re not sure as it might mean you don’t actually want to do it. For example, piercings are a common body modification and you can get a lot of places pierced. Some of the most common include the ears, nose, lips and eyebrow. Of course, you need to ensure that you are fully informed on all of the care instructions to keep it from getting infected as this isn’t going to help you. Ask your piercer for eyebrow piercing information whatever piercing you are getting before you get started.

Then you have other modifications such as tattoos, and as you know these are permanent. However, they do make a lot of people feel more confident, research suggests, so it’s up to you. Only you know if you think that this will help.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you can try if you are struggling to feel that confidence that you once had. Of course, this is all completely optional and you have the final say over the changes that you make in your life to make yourself feel more confident again. We’re not saying that it’s going to be easy, and we’re not saying every change you make is going to work, but it’s always worth a try.
