A Luxury Vacation is in Order
The rain might be wearing me down but I’ve got other things on my mind right now. After all we’ve been through weather-wise, I think a luxury vacation is in order and that is all I’m concentrating on. When I think of a luxury vacation, I think of renting one of the dozens of virgin gorda beach homes in the Caribbean Islands. Keep reading to learn more and you might just decide that your next vacation would be better spent in one of these luxurious homes as well.
This is my favorite time of the year (minus these storms we’ve been having). It’s when I start giving serious thoughts to our vacation plans. It’s not always easy to get all of the kids together at the same time, especially now that Tyler’s officially a driving teen with a job, so a lot of planning goes into effect when we travel. We’ve got our first vacation planned and we are packed and ready to head out. But don’t worry, my trusty laptop goes everywhere I do and I keep it fully charged so I’m only a message away. We picked a beach vacation, again, the kids would disown me if I recommended anything else. Every year my siblings and mom and I take an extended vacation in Texas with our families. After that, I start planning any other vacations we’ll be taking throughout the warm summer months.
While I’ve been busy shopping and preparing for this vacation, I’ve already got our next one in mind. Blame it on the rain. I feel like I’m living in the middle of a lake lately so vacations are assuming my every thought right now. Like I mentioned, I have to plan ahead to get everyone on board for any trip we take. I do travel alone a lot but I want to travel to the Caribean Islands this year and if I did that without the kids, I’d never hear the end of it. Our last big vacation was a cruise to the Bahama Islands which was fun but I want my feet planted firmly on the ground this year so everyone can get their fill of the beach.
The kids love the beach and being on the beach when we stay anywhere. And I really have to watch Abby. She doesn’t even wait until her swimsuit is on, she just takes off with us running right behind her. I’m convinced she’s a mermaid. *wink*. There is just something magical about the beach in her eyes. With a love that deep for the ocean, I need to select a home that is close enough that we can all run and play with the waves.
If you’ve already clicked on my link to see the virgin gorda beach homes, you’ll have to admit that they’re now stuck in your mind like they are mine. I don’t think any other vacation will do now, after looking through each and every one of them. We could even invite other families along to help split the costs if we wanted to. I don’t think I’d consider doing that on our first trip there but it’s something to consider down the road. I don’t want to split up my time with anyone else before I do each and everything there is to do in the surrounding areas. Does that sound stingy? 🙂
What I like about the site while browsing around is that immediately I was able to use the price match to select from a list of rental homes that are within our budget. Because I know without a doubt that I want to travel with just the family this time, I selected a lower amount. I was really surprised by just how many homes were within our price range. I was able to select beachfront rentals to narrow it down some more (they also have honeymoon rentals for all of you beach brides).
I thought about everything it would take to make everyone happy and the Brushstrokes Villa caught my eye. The kitchen that is spacious and well equipped would be so handy to have and the kids wouldn’t even have to leave from doing the things they love (swimming, looking for seashells, photography, etc), for us to run to a restaurant. We could even eat outdoors in the adjoining dining area that easily accommodates up to eight people. The amenities and tours make it even more appealing. I haven’t shown this to any of the family yet, it’s yours and my secret for now because another property has caught my eye as well.
After viewing this, you’re probably thinking, how could I even consider anywhere else but once you take a look at my other option you’ll see why it’s a contender.
The Cheemaun Beach Villa also ticks off all of the boxes and even though it’s pricier (will have to pinch the numbers) it’s roomy enough for the kids to bring a friend along with them. The spaciousness combined with the view is too tempting not to consider it. I’ve been checking out the dates that it’s available and it really might be our next vacation rental. These screenshots don’t do either of these places justice so be sure to visit my link to learn more and see these rentals as they should be viewed.
It’s going to be a hard choice as to where we’ll stay but I’m pretty much leaning towards the 2nd option. I think it’s more of what I look for when renting vacation rentals and I know everyone will be happy with it which is what matters in the end. They’re just going to be excited about staying on Virgin Gorda Island which is an island-paradise in itself. We can play on the beach or even go find a deserted island to rummage around on. Finding mostly untouched land and sea at Loblolly Bay or Cow Wreck Bay would be a learning experience. We may even catch a glimpse of one of the 300 ships that have sunk off the coast of Anegada. From boulder climbing to deep sea diving, to just hanging around the pool with a nice cool beverage, I do think these either of these options will make for a very luxurious vacation.
I’d love to know what your thoughts are on renting one of these places. Which one do you think you’d choose? You can follow my travels on instagram; travelsofwanderlust. Bon voyage.
